It wasn’t a typically busy start to the weekend in terms of action across Europe for Arsenal’s players out on loan this season, but a few made starts for their respective clubs with contrasting results.
Dan Crowley was afforded his first start for Go Ahead Eagles since his loan move at the start of the month whilst there were other players who featured on Sunday for their respective loan sides, with differing results.
Kelechi Nwakali has been gradually settling into life in the Netherlands following his season-long loan move to MVV Maastricht back in August.
There were minutes this weekend for Arsenal’s more experienced players out on-loan but a few youngsters also featured across Europe as the top leagues returned to action after a winter break.
Kelechi Nwakali has rejected the chance to return from his loan in January and opted to remain with MVV Maastricht where he has been impressing this season.
