Aaron Ramsdale may have to settle for a bottom-half club or a team in continental Europe if he wants minutes in 2024/25, according to a report.

Elias Burke reports for The Athletic that with most of the Premier League’s top-half clubs having already sorted their starting goalkeeper situation, Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale may have to look elsewhere if he wants consistent minutes in 2024/25.

Burke suggests Ramsdale might have to drop down to the bottom half of England’s top flight to get games, or consider a move to continental Europe instead.

Alex Crook reported for talkSPORT earlier this week that the goalkeeper is high on the shortlists of Wolves, Nottingham Forest, and Southampton.

Wolves are also interested in Sam Johnstone, and if they sign either goalkeeper it would be to replace current first-choice Jose Sa.

Elsewhere, reports have suggested that Nottingham Forest are hoping to sign Ramsdale on loan later in the summer.

Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that though Ramsdale’s situation is currently quiet, something could still happen later in the window as the transfer dominoes fall.

For the time being, Ramsdale is back with Arsenal for pre-season following his post-Euros holidays.
