Granit Xhaka is part of the Swiss national team’s documentary titled “The Pressure Game”, featuring in the fourth episode of the series.

In the documentary’s fourth part, called “Blood Pressure”, Granit Xhaka talks about his dual citizenship and Albanian roots.

Xhaka, who was born in Switzerland to Albanian parents from Kosovo, says that although he is proud to play for Switzerland, his blood and origin are from Kosovo.

During the documentary, Xhaka also expresses his frustration with the media and negative portrayal of him in the press. “I don’t understand why only negative things are always written,” Xhaka said.

In the documentary, Xhaka says he strives to remain positive on the field, and if anything negative occurs, he chooses to leave to avoid problems, which is not entirely accurate, but it’s his story.

The documentary also features interviews with Xhaka’s wife, Leonita, and directors of the documentary visiting Xhaka at his home in London.

Xhaka’s inclusion in the documentary provides a rare glimpse into the life and mindset of a top footballer and how they navigate the pressures of the sport, public scrutiny, and national identity.

The midfielder has played a total of 111 times for the Swiss national team, showing himself to be a true leader.
