Gabriel Martinelli opened the scoring for Arsenal against West Ham as they claimed all three points to go fourth in the Premier League.
In what was, perhaps, the most dominant 2-0 win you are likely to see all season, Arsenal had to wait until the second half to find the back of the net against their top four rivals, West Ham.
Alexandre Lacazette found Gabriel Martinelli, who opened his body and found the bottom corner in a way Thierry Henry would most certainly have approved of.
It was a goal everybody enjoyed.
“It was a very good game,” Martinelli told BT Sport after the final whistle.
“The win was so important for the team. You know the potential we have, we are a young team. It was a great victory, I am so happy.
“We like to see the people cheer us and be happy with our performances.
“We knew it was going to be a very difficult game but we have a very good group of players and we’re very happy.

“They were defending well and we were waiting for the moment and thank Laca for the assist.”
Martinelli was then asked about the situation with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, recently being stripped of the captaincy.
“We are a team we are together,” he said, “and it is up to the whole team who is going to be captain.”

Arsenal are now in fourth place with a positive goal difference, something they perhaps should have increased against the Hammers.
Still, it would be churlish to moan about that at this point.
