Arsenal are in the market for a new keeper this summer and, while they continue to be linked with Sheffield United’s Aaron Ramsdale, Neto is back in the mix.

Neto has been linked with Arsenal before but, with Everton also said to be interested, it’s hard to see him opting to come to Arsenal to sit on our bench behind Leno, regardless of any other issues.

Leno is one of a number of Arsenal first teamers who have been linked with a move away this summer due to various reasons, but the German came out to put an end to those reports.

That being said, it seems like the club are indeed preparing for life without Leno, be that this season or next.

The 31-year-old Neto reportedly put in a transfer request back in January in a bid to force a move to Arsenal. It was rejected. If you’re wondering why he might do that, that’s probably down to Edu’s chum, Kia Joorabchian.

Now, he’s being linked with Arsenal again, along with Villarreal. Barcelona are said to be trying to find a new home for Neto with the Brazilian apparently wanting to ‘feel like a starter again’.

Mundo Deportivo note that Arsenal are still interested despite the fact that Arsenal have already ‘withdrawn from the bidding’.
