Two Arsenal players returned from injury with the u23s over the weekend, and one more during the week before the Rapid Vienna game.

Reiss Nelson is back from his hamstring injury and played the full 90 minutes against Manchester United u23s over the weekend, scoring a nice free-kick. Emile Smith Rowe is also back, playing 45 minutes of the same game.

Shkodran Mustafi is also finally back to full fitness after his hamstring injury, and travelling to Vienna with the Arsenal squad.

Calum Chambers is in full training, but we don’t know exactly when he’ll return to action. It could be as soon as Thursday’s match against Vienna, though we haven’t seen him in photos, so it may also take a bit longer.

Pablo Mari should be returning to full training very soon as well. The last update we had on October 3rd was that he’d return “within the next two weeks”, which should mean he’s already back, but clearly, he’s slightly behind schedule.

Gabriel Martinelli is back out on the grass playing with the ball again, but he’s still a way off a full return. Arsenal don’t expect him back until towards the end of the year.

The news isn’t so positive for Rob Holding. Rumours suggest he could miss the next three or four weeks with his hamstring injury, though we have no confirmation just yet.

Overall, that should mean only Holding and Martinelli are still out in a couple of weeks. As for the Vienna clash on Thursday, Nelson and Smith Rowe are likely to make it back in time, with the possibility of returns for Chambers or Mustafi as well.
