Magpie Media reports that Newcastle United are in advanced talks with Amario Cozier-Duberry’s representatives over a summer transfer, with the Arsenal youngster out of contract at the end of the season.

Arsenal have been in contract negotiations with Cozier-Duberry for a while, and previous reports suggested they were confident of an agreement on a new deal.

But there’s been no sign of progress since then, with the summer edging closer.

Simon Collings of the Evening Standard had previously reported the interest from Newcastle United, in addition to AFC Ajax, Borussia Dortmund, and Anderlecht.

Arsenal insider Team News and Ticks added Brighton’s name into the mix, and Fabrizio Romano included Wolves.

With Arsenal making a contract offer to Cozier-Duberry, he won’t be able to leave the club for free. Given his age, the Gunners would be due a compensation payment from whichever club signed the winger.

Even so, it would be a disappointment to see Cozier-Duberry leaving for no more than a training compensation fee.

Cozier-Duberry has just been nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award, after providing five goal contributions in his four April appearances.

The youngster then went on to score a brace against Manchester United on Friday night, helping Arsenal through to the Premier League 2 play-off quarter-finals.

Over the course of the season, Cozier-Duberry has 13 goals and five assists in 23 games for the Arsenal u21s and u19s.
