Unai Emery rejected the chance to manage Everton, as well as turning down two offers from China, according to reports in Spain.
Almost immediately after leaving Arsenal, Unai Emery reportedly got the offer to manage Everton. Sky Sports claimed he met with the club in an informal meeting last week while he considered his options.
Marca (via Football-Espana) now claim he’s going to turn down the Premier League club, along with two other offers from China. Instead, Emery wants to focus on joining a club with the opportunity to win silverware on a regular basis.
Emery met with his coaching staff on Friday, posting a picture to his Twitter account.

The previous reports on Emery’s future suggested he could return to Spain or move to Italy. That will obviously depend on getting a good offer first though.
There aren’t many clubs in either country capable of winning regular trophies, if we’re being honest. Bar taking over at Juventus, Barcelona or Real Madrid, you’re going to struggle.
For now, it doesn’t seem like Emery is set for an imminent return to coaching.
