Lucas Torreira is apparently open to joining Napoli in January when the Italians are expected to improve their squad under new manager, Gennaro Gattuso.

That’s according to Calciomercato, who state there has been no official contact with Arsenal, but believe the midfielder will be leaving the club in January.

It’s not an impossible proposition, however I imagine that the sacking of Unai Emery might offer Torreira a little more happiness in the team.

That being said, winter is bearing down upon us and thoughts of a warmer climate might just tip him over the edge. I mean, who really wants to live somewhere the air hurts your face when you don’t have to?

What I’m saying is, I don’t know what’s going to happen with Lucas Torreira.

If Arsenal continue to play like crap and use him in a way that is not only frustrating to the player but ineffective for the team, then why wouldn’t he want to go somewhere else?

Pull it together as a team and use him as god intended and then, really, why would he want to leave?

What Arsenal will do is anyone’s guess and don’t believe anyone who tells you they know.
