Mesut Ozil’s reps will reportedly meet with DC United in the States next week about a possible move for the German.
My first reaction when I was messaged about this was ‘hmmm, I would be highly suspicious of that’. A reasonable reaction, I thought, until the person messaging me, whom is both a DC United fanatic and someone I trust implicitly, said the source was to DC United what David Ornstein is to Arsenal.
Sigh.
One of Ozil's reps will meet with DCU officials next week in Washington, I'm told.

The additional information I received was that it would be for a January transfer and with Wayne Rooney’s wages coming off the books in the autumn, after his move to Derby, they could feasibly be able to afford Ozil’s weekly demands.
Ozil and his agent have been clear he’s at Arsenal for the duration of his contract and he has looked sprightly this summer.
Maybe that’s to get a move. Maybe it’s not.
Who the hell knows anything any more in this window?
