Arsenal legend, Alex Scott, will take part in the next series of Strictly Come Dancing on BBC.

The Arsenal player-turned-pundit has been wowing football fans with her insight and analysis on Sky Sports since hanging up her boots and now she’s going to be beamed into the front-rooms of millions of people who know nothing about football whatsoever.
Along with James Cracknell and Dev Griffin, Scott was confirmed to complete the lineup.
They will join Jamie Lang, Will Bayley, Michelle Visage, Viscountess Emma Weymouth, Karim Zeroual, Mike Bushell, Catherine Tyldesley, Saffron Barker, Emma Barton, Chris Ramsey, David James, and Anneka Rice
In total, I know who four of those people are – Cracknell, Scott, James, and Rice.

“This is a show that I’ve always want to be a part of,” Scott admitted. “When I did [Comic Relief], I was like ‘I want to be part of the main one.’
“It’s the show I’ve always wanted to do and I can’t believe I’m finally going to be part of it,” she added in a statement.
“I’m super excited, but also terrified at the same time.”
If you’re a betting person, I’d back Scott to do well. The competition relies on a public vote and we all know Arsenal fans simply rule the world when it comes to those.
The 17th series of Strictly Come Dancing gets underway with a red carpet launch on Monday, 26 August with the series premiere to follow shortly thereafter although no date has been confirmed yet
