Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was nowhere to be seen in Arsenal’s training photos ahead of the Premier League clash with Wolves on Wednesday night, sparking concerns he might be injured.

Despite Arsenal’s club photographers releasing 85 pictures of the squad’s training session on Tuesday, not one of them showed the Gunners’ star striker and top scorer Aubameyang. It didn’t take long for fans to spot the absence and grow concerned.

Arsenal didn’t make any mention of a problem for Aubameyang in their most recent team news update, so hopefully, the reason for his no-show is nothing too serious. The striker missed another training session through illness recently, so it could just be a continuation of that same problem.

The alternative is that Aubameyang really is out of the match, and Arsenal have just kept it quiet until now, so Wolves had no time to prepare for the probable the switch in formation from Unai Emery.

It would be a shame for Arsenal to lose their chief goalscorer for one of their toughest remaining Premier League fixtures, and for Aubameyang himself it’d be disappointing not to have the chance to keep pushing for the Golden Boot. We’ll have to wait and see what happens on Wednesday night.
