Manchester City have become the first non-London side to win five consecutive Premier League games against teams from the city.

Pep Guardiola’s men won 1-0 against Tottenham in their showdown at Wembley on Monday night meaning they have now beaten Arsenal and Spurs twice in 2018, along with West Ham.

Tottenham have only lost four games in the Premier League since their move to Wembley, with two of those coming against City.

City’s keeper, Ederson also recorded his sixth cleansheet from his last six league starts, something no keeper has done since Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois in November 2016.

Manchester City’s win took them back to the top of the table while Spurs defeat meant that Arsenal remained one point ahead of their north London rivals as we head towards what will be a crunch weekend for the Gunners.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool arrive in London on Saturday for a mouth-watering clash that will give us a real indication of just how much Unai Emery’s methods have embedded themselves in the brains of the Arsenal players.

Tottenham travel to Wolves for a Saturday late evening kick-off while Manchester City play Southampton at the Etihad on Sunday, and Chelsea host Palace later the same day. Eighth-placed Manchester United are at Bournemouth in the first game of the weekend.
