Sead Kolasinac is set to earn £140k p/w at Arsenal, making him the joint highest earner at the club but how does that compare to the rest of the squad?

  • Kolasinac will earn £140k p/w for the next five years
  • He’ll be the highest earner at the club for the time being along with Alexis and Ozil

According to the Daily Star, new signing Sead Kolasinac will earn £140k p/w at Arsenal which, for the time being, will make him the joint highest earner at the club.

It’s incredibly unlikely that Arsenal see Kolasinac as the best player at the club, and his wage is a reflection of the modern market – and the fact he comes with no transfer fee.

It should also mean that the more valuable players at the club will receive a pay rise match Kolasinac’s wage when the time comes to renew their contracts.

Arsenal’s willingness to pay so much could also be an indication of their intent this summer. Suddenly paying Alexis and Ozil £280k p/w doesn’t seem so far-fetched.

Here’s what the others receive (per week):

  • Krystian Bielik £5k
  • Rob Holding £10k
  • Alex Iwobi £30k
  • Mohamed Elneny £40k
  • Ospina £40k
