Arsenal explore Endrick loan but Real Madrid stance complicates deal

Arsenal have reportedly made contact over a possible January move for Endrick, with a loan containing an option to buy among the ideas being discussed.

According to TEAMtalk, the Real Madrid forward’s representatives are looking at possible alternatives after his limited playing time in Spain, with Arsenal still said to be interested.

The 20-year-old has only played 107 minutes this season across four games and started just one league match.

Arsenal would reportedly consider taking Endrick on loan with an option to make the move permanent. Madrid, however, are said to prefer a straightforward loan which would keep the Brazilian’s longer-term future tied to Spain.

AC Milan and Roma are also credited with interest, with both said to be looking at loans without a purchase option.

On that basis, their proposals would be closer to what Madrid reportedly want.

His representatives are said to be looking at whether a move elsewhere could give him a better chance of playing regularly. Endrick spent last season on loan with Lyon, where he made 21 appearances, scoring eight and assisting the same number.

A move in January would represent a change from the summer, when Endrick reportedly resisted interest, including from Arsenal, because he wants to establish himself in Madrid.

Arsenal are also said to be considering additions on the left side of their attack and at centre-forward, with Endrick’s ability to play in different attacking roles adding to an attraction that goes back to before he moved to Madrid.
