Ezri Konsa is set to be included in England’s squad to face the Czech Republic on Tuesday night, despite being one of just two players to miss training on Monday morning.

The English Football Association sparked some concern about Ezri Konsa’s fitness on Monday, confirming that the Arsenal centre-back and Manchester City’s Nico O’Reilly were both not involved in full training.
The FA explained that Konsa and O’Reilly would be following their own individual training programmes on Monday morning, casting doubt on whether the duo would be on the flight to the Czech Republic that afternoon.
But those fears have been allayed by new reports that Konsa is set to be in the squad for the Czech Republic game on Tuesday night.

Alex Howell reports for the BBC that whilst O’Reilly has been ruled out, Konsa is set to be involved.
There’s clearly still some doubt about how heavily Konsa will feature, with Howell adding that Jarrad Branthwaite could be a contender to start if Konsa can’t.
Even so, the fact Konsa remains with the team and in line to make the squad suggests his fitness isn’t currently believed to be a huge issue.

Arsenal fans will be breathing a sigh of relief, because the Gunners already have enough injury concerns at the back at the moment.
William Saliba remains absent for the long term, Jurrien Timber is only recently back, Ben White and Piero Hincapie were forced to miss the international break through injury, and Cristhian Mosquera has only just returned to training.
Konsa was one of few defenders Arsenal could confidently say was fit going into the break, so the hope is certainly that it stays that way.
