Arsenal have confirmed recent reports that they’re extending their partnership with Emirates, with the deal lasting a year longer than previously claimed.
Arsenal have confirmed a new partnership with Emirates including front-of-shirt sponsorship, training kit sponsorship, and naming rights to the club’s stadium through to 2033.
Arsenal Chief Commercial Officer Juliet Slot said: “Our partnership with Emirates has become one of world sport’s most defining.
“Together we’ve always looked beyond traditional partnership and towards creating experiences that bring supporters closer to Arsenal, finding new ways to connect with our global community. Today, we’re in the strongest position we’ve ever been in together.
“That’s built on two decades of trust, shared ambition and a commitment from us both to keep pushing forward. We’ve built incredibly strong foundations and, as our club enters this exciting new era, I cannot wait to see new history made together.”
As mentioned, the deal is to 2033, which is a year longer than previous reports had suggested. Arsenal are reportedly set to earn £65m over the next two seasons (up from £60m), with their previous deal with Emirates set to expire in 2028.
After that, the deal will increase to £75m per season, and there are also bonuses of up to £10m-15m for winning the Champions League or the Premier League.
Outgoing CCO Slot reportedly agreed the extension in one of her final acts of business at Arsenal. Slot will depart the club later this year.
Arsenal have already been sponsored by Emirates for 20 years now, and the new agreement will take that to 27. The existing stadium naming rights deal had been agreed in 2012, and the kit deal was agreed in 2023, but both were set to expire in two years, so they both needed to be renegotiated.
With that now done, Arsenal need to focus on how they’re going to spend that money to remain competitive on the pitch.
