Financial details of Arsenal’s new Emirates deal emerge

Details of Arsenal’s reported new sponsorship deal with Emirates have begun to emerge, with the fresh contract set to last to 2032.

Following reports of a new deal between Arsenal and Emirates for the club’s shirt sponsorship and stadium naming rights, football finance insider Lukasz Baczek has revealed the financial details of the contract.

Baczek reports that Arsenal previously had a £60m deal with Emirates covering front-of-shirt and training-kit sponsorship, but this will rise to £65m for the next two seasons. The existing deal was already set to run until 2028, so Arsenal will bank a bonus £10m over that period.

After that, Arsenal will receive £75m per season for the following four seasons, taking us all the way to 2032.

Baczek adds that Arsenal will also receive bonuses of up to £10m-15m for winning the Champions League or the Premier League. It is believed that the new deal also includes the stadium naming rights for the same period.

Outgoing chief commercial officer Juliet Slot reportedly agreed the extension in one of her final acts of business at Arsenal. Slot will depart the club later this year.

At this stage, Arsenal and Emirates are declining to comment, with no official announcement of the news.

Arsenal have already been sponsored by Emirates for 20 years now, and the new agreement will take that to 26. The existing stadium naming rights deal had been agreed in 2012, and the kit deal was agreed in 2023, but both were set to expire in two years, so they both needed to be renegotiated.

With that now done, Arsenal need to focus on how they’re going to spend that money to remain competitive on the pitch.
