The Italian giants are exploring a move for the academy graduate as Arsenal weigh up their options amid growing interest from across Europe.

AC Milan have made contact with Arsenal over the availability of Ethan Nwaneri, with the Italian club exploring the possibility of signing the attacking midfielder as interest in the youngster grows across Europe.
According to transfer journalist Matteo Moretto, speaking on Fabrizio Romano‘s YouTube channel, Milan have identified Nwaneri as a player of interest and have begun making enquiries to establish his situation.
Moretto said: “I’d like to talk about an exclusive. It’s a new name: Etham Nwaneri. Arsenal’s attacking midfielder, born in 2007, is a very interesting player with great technical ability, he’s the kind of player AC Milan are interested in.
“There have been contacts, AC Milan are conducting enquiries to understand Nwaneri’s situation. It must be said that the competition is fierce, because Leipzig are after him in the Bundesliga and Everton and Fulham are in the Premier League.
“Arsenal would be willing to let him go, he’s not unsellable, but they would like to sell him permanently without losing full control of the player.”

Earlier this summer, reports suggested Arsenal were open to allowing several players to leave, although Nwaneri’s position was described as less clear than others.
Both the BBC and The Athletic have since reported that the midfielder’s future remains uncertain.
The BBC said Arsenal are giving serious consideration to the sale of the former academy player, while The Athletic reported that Nwaneri “could be considered as a potential sale”.
That does not necessarily suggest Arsenal are actively looking to sell the 19-year-old, but it does indicate the club could consider the right offer.
Whether AC Milan are capable of making such a proposal remains open to question.
Nwaneri is valued at around €35 million and still has four years remaining on the contract he signed last summer.
It would represent a significant financial commitment for a Serie A club, particularly for a player who struggled to establish himself in the Marseille side during his loan spell last season.
Unless Arsenal were to receive an exceptional offer, any decision to part with one of the club’s most highly regarded academy graduates would also be unlikely to be popular among supporters.
