Dungannon Swifts general manager Simon Graham has shared a farewell with Arsenal-bound Daniel McCarron, with the defender set to move to north London this summer.

NIFL Premiership side Dungannon Swifts concluded their 2025/26 campaign earlier this week, meaning Arsenal-bound youngster Daniel McCarron has now played his final game for the club.
The club’s general manager Simon Graham shared a farewell on Instagram, saying: “Wishing Daniel McCarron the very best of luck as he moves on to continue his football journey with Arsenal. Enjoy every minute!”

Arsenal previously confirmed that they have a pre-contract agreement with Dungannon Swifts for McCarron to join the club as part of their 2026/27 scholarship intake.
McCarron also spent time with the Arsenal academy as a trialist in December 2024, playing with the Arsenal u17s at the Flamengo Adidas Cup.
The young Gunners ultimately lifted the trophy, with Callan Hamill also playing on trial at the tournament before joining Arsenal permanently last summer.

McCarron made his debut for the Dungannon first team before leaving, coming on as a substitute in a Premiership play-off match against Larne FC. He also made the bench on a couple of occasions during the regular season.
Away from Dungannon, McCarron has played for the Northern Ireland u17s on eight occasions, most recently playing a couple of Euro qualifiers in March.
After his summer holidays, the centre-back will link up with Arsenal for the next stage of his youth career.
