Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine went viral for their reaction to Leandro Trossard’s goal against Wolves this week, with Trossard himself taking notice.

Movie stars Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine are preparing for the release of their new film The Idea of You in May, but the pair are keeping one eye on Arsenal’s results during their press tour.

Both Hathaway and Galitzine support Arsenal, and ahead of an interview over the weekend, they celebrated as Leandro Trossard gave the Gunners the lead against Wolves.

“1-0!” Galitzine said, pumping his fist, prompting Hathaway to gasp and grin.

“Who scored?” Hathaway responded.

“Trossard,” Galitzine said.

“I love you! Was it a good goal, did they say anything to describe it?” Hathaway asked.

“No idea, I just saw the 1-0,” Galitzine said.

“We’re both fans of the same team, and there’s a match going on right now,” Hathaway explained to the interviewer. “Arsenal, [from] English Premier League soccer.”

“Let’s talk Arsenal, shall we?” Galitzine joked.

“Because we’ve had a rough week!” Hathaway quipped back.

Trossard evidently saw the clip, sharing it on his Instagram story as shown above.

Galitzine had already previously revealed that Hathaway is a fan of the Gunners.

“You know, a really fun fact: Anne Hathaway is a massive Arsenal supporter as well,” Galitzine said in an interview last month.

“I’m in a group chat with her family, who are all Arsenal supporters. [They’re] obssessed.”

Hathaway made her acting breakthrough in TV series Get Real, and she’s gone on to star in some of the world’s biggest blockbusters.

From Interstellar to Les Miserables, The Dark Knight Rises, Rio, and The Devil Wears Prada, you’d be hard pressed to find someone who hasn’t seen a movie the 41-year-old has appeared in.

Hathaway joins a number of celebrities to be linked with Arsenal fandom this season, with Natalie Portman and Isla Fisher attending a match earlier this season, and Christina Milian cheering the team on in February.
