Movie stars Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine are preparing for the release of their new film The Idea of You in May, but the pair went viral among Arsenal fans for their response to a goal against Wolves earlier this month.

Both Hathaway and Galitzine support Arsenal, and ahead of an interview over the weekend, they celebrated as Leandro Trossard gave the Gunners the lead against Wolves.

The TODAY show then got in contact with Trossard, and the Arsenal forward shared a message with them on the programme.

“Hey Anne,” Trossard began. “I really loved your celebration the other day for my goal. Keep supporting us, and I’ll hopefully see you soon at the Emirates!”

“Legend,” Galitzine said in response to the clip, with Hathaway exclaiming: “Are you kidding me?”

“I’m more starstruck with athletes than anything else,” Galitzine added, with Hathaway admitting she was shaking.

Hathaway made her acting breakthrough in TV series Get Real, and she’s gone on to star in some of the world’s biggest blockbusters.

From Interstellar to Les Miserables, The Dark Knight Rises, Rio, and The Devil Wears Prada, you’d be hard pressed to find someone who hasn’t seen a movie the 41-year-old has appeared in.

Hathaway joins a number of celebrities to be linked with Arsenal fandom this season, with Natalie Portman and Isla Fisher attending a match earlier this season, and Christina Milian cheering the team on in February.

Perhaps once their film has been released, the pair could make their way across the Atlantic for Arsenal’s final game of the season against Everton on May 19th.
