Arsenal are reportedly ready to make a significant offer for in-form Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee, positioning themselves as a major contender in the transfer race alongside AC Milan and Juventus.

Recent reports suggest Zirkzee has no intention of returning to former club Bayern Munich, despite a €40m buyback clause. The 22-year-old’s impressive season with 11 goals and six assists has drawn the attention of top European clubs.

AC Milan have been actively pursuing Zirkzee for several months, with technical director Geoffrey Moncada and advisor Zlatan Ibrahimović identifying him as a priority target. However, Arsenal’s interest and willingness to offer a substantial €6m per season salary package could make them the Dutch striker’s preferred destination.

Calciomercato reports that Arsenal are Milan’s “most dangerous rival” for Zirkzee’s signature. It remains to be seen whether the Italian giants can compete with Arsenal’s financial offer.

Zirkzee’s departure from Bologna seems certain, and the competition for his services is heating up. Where he ends up next will be a significant development to watch in the upcoming transfer window.
