Arsenal Youth report that Omari Benjamin, Luis Brown, Kamarni Ryan, and Coby Small are all set to be released, joining Noah Cooper on the list of second-year scholars who won’t be offered professional contracts.

On the other side of things, Romari Forde has reportedly been offered a professional deal, though it remains to be seen whether he accepts it.

Of the four players who have now learned they’re set for release, forward Benjamin has already started a trial with Everton, scoring against the Tottenham Hotspur u21s this weekend.

Centre-back Brown had made 13 appearances for the Arsenal academy this season, largely featuring for the u18s at left-back.

The defender’s sole appearance for the u21s lasted just a couple of minutes as a substitute.

Ryan has solely featured for the u18s this season, generally playing in an attacking midfield role or on the wings.

The 18-year-old had appeared to be in good form lately, scoring three goals and assisting two in his last eight league appearances. But he struggled for consistent minutes, only making four starts all season.

The same is true for 17-year-old centre-back Coby Small, who has only made two starts this season amid some injury problems earlier in the campaign.

The four youth players will join goalkeeper Cooper on the lookout for a new club in the coming months.
