Arsenal youth forward Omari Benjamin looks set to leave the Gunners, and the youngster is currently on trial with fellow Premier League club Everton.

Benjamin got the chance to make a start for the Everton u21s against a familiar opponent on Saturday, with his trial side taking on Tottenham Hotspur.

Premier League 2 leaders Spurs took an early lead through Will Lankshear, but Tyler Onyango found an equaliser late in the first half.

That set things up perfectly for Benjamin to score the winning goal, which he did in the 70th minute.

It was a simple finish in the end, with Benjamin pouncing on a rebound to give his trial side a 2-1 lead. But it was an important goal, with Everton taking all three points from the contest.

Arsenal will be pleased with the goal, which prevented Spurs taking advantage of one of their games in hand to extend their lead at the top of the table. The Arsenal u21s currently sit in third.

Benjamin initially looked like having a good future in the Arsenal academy, particularly in the u18 run to the FA Youth Cup final.

But the 18-year-old is now preparing to depart the club this summer, and it looks like Everton could be in line to pick him up.
