Bukayo Saka has won Arsenal’s Player of the Month award for February, but he looks to have missed out on the Premier League award.
Arsenal have confirmed that Bukayo Saka has won the club’s Player of the Month award for February, meaning he’s the first player to win the award twice in 2023/24.
Saka reportedly earned 56% of the fan votes, putting him ahead of fellow nominees Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz, and Declan Rice.
Arsenal add that it’s the seventh time that Saka has won an Arsenal Player of the Month award in his career.
Saka undoubtedly had an excellent February, scoring more goals than any other player in the league with his six in four games.
Yet rumours have hinted that the player has missed out on the Premier League’s official Player of the Month award to Rasmus Hojlund.
Though the award’s winner hasn’t been confirmed at the time of writing, leaks suggest Hojlund is going to take it ahead of Saka.
It would be a shame to see Saka miss out on the Premier League award, but there’s always the next month, and the winger has already kicked off March with an assist.
