The March international break is now over, so let’s take a look at how Arsenal got on in their matches this week.

Arsenal had a lot of players involved in the international break this time around, but there were also a few notable players missing from the usual group.

Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Magalhaes both pulled out of the Brazil squad through injury, whilst Gabriel Jesus’ recent lack of minutes due to injury saw him missing out as well.

Takehiro Tomiyasu was held back from Japan as a precaution, following his recent issues, Thomas Partey asked to be left out of the Ghana squad to focus on his fitness, and Bukayo Saka pulled out of the England squad.

Mohamed Elneny was left out by Egypt’s new manager, but there’s no suggestion of an injury there. Perhaps the new boss is simply looking to refresh the squad, with Elneny struggling for minutes at Arsenal.
