Arsenal fans have come up with a new chant for Gabriel Magalhaes, in light of the centre-back’s strong recent form.

Arsenal’s recent positive run of results has put a lot of focus on the team’s goalscoring exploits, with the Gunners scoring 21 goals in five games since the winter break.

But a lot of praise is also due at the other end, with only two goals conceded in those five matches.

Centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes has starred on both fronts, scoring three goals in those five matches whilst also helping the team to maintain a formidable record at the back.

It’s been no real surprise to see Gabriel winning Player of the Month awards and regularly featuring in various Teams of the Week.

The Arsenal fans have taken notice, and some supporters came up with a new chant for the defender over the weekend. One fan posted the chant on Twitter on Saturday.

The lyrics go: “You’ll fall in love, I know you will, our number 6 is the king of Brazil!

“Our centre half, he’ll give you hell. Our wall at the back is Gabriel.

“Ole ole, ole ola!”

Fan chants certainly help to build a connection between the supporters and the players, and it’s been a shame that a regular starter like Gabriel has never had one take off before. Perhaps this new song will change that.
