Liverpool are set to join the race for Pedro Neto if and when the winger leaves Wolverhampton Wanderers, after recent links with Arsenal.

Goal journalist Neil Jones reports for Fabrizio Romano’s Daily Briefing that Wolves winger Pedro Neto definitely has admirers at Anfield, adding that the player could be a good fit for a Jurgen Klopp side.

If Neto continues to impress with Wolves, Jones expects the player to move on next season.

Given Mohamed Salah’s links with a potential move away to Saudi Arabia, Jones concludes that Neto could be one to watch as a potential replacement.

Recent reports have suggested Arsenal would have to pay at least £60m to convince Wolves to sell Neto this winter, but if that figure is reached, they may be forced to do business.

Arsenal are reportedly the favourites at the moment, as they’re reportedly willing to spend and they’re also a more attractive destination for Neto himself than alternative destinations like Manchester United.

But Mikel Arteta and co. may need to move quickly to avoid a bidding war in the summer.

Alex Crook of talkSPORT claims Arsenal are back on Neto’s trail, having made several previous attempts to sign the player.

The winger’s strong start to the season has caught Arteta’s attention, and the manager is keen to add to his forward line in the coming transfer windows.

Neto was linked with Arsenal throughout the summer of 2022, but the Gunners were ultimately priced out of a move.

The 23-year-old was tempted by the transfer, as a self-proclaimed boyhood fan of the club.

An international with Portugal, Neto has made a strong start to the season, providing five assists and scoring once in his opening eight games.
