Arsenal’s Frida Maanum has long been a promising talent in the football world. This year, the Norwegian midfielder lived up to her reputation by joining the esteemed ranks of the PFA WSL Team of the Season.

Her strong performances for Arsenal this past season have catapulted her into the limelight.

The PFA WSL Team of the Season is a prestigious line-up, and Maanum’s inclusion follows a season where she not only scored nine WSL goals but also contributed with four crucial assists.

Her remarkable form also led her to be named the Arsenal Supporters Club Player of the Season.

This year’s PFA list featured an eclectic group of talent including Rafaelle Souza, who also represented Arsenal but has since moved to Orlando Pride.

Brazilian centre-half Rafaelle shined particularly in her role in the Gunner’s defence before her departure.

Maanum was not just about individual brilliance; she was a cornerstone in Arsenal’s run to the Women’s Champions League semi-finals and their Continental Tyres Cup triumph. In total, she made 38 appearances in all competitions for the club, netting 16 goals.

Other notable names in the team were Mary Earps and Ona Batlle from Manchester United.

Chelsea players Guro Reiten and Sam Kerr also made the cut, alongside Rachel Daly of Aston Villa.

Arsenal are set to face Linkoping in the UWCL qualifiers next week.

All players have returned from World Cup duty, fully fit with no injury concerns, and with new signing Laia Codina also joining the squad this week.

According to reports, Brazilian winger Gio might leave the club on loan before the transfer window closes.
