Saka’s lucrative contract awaits confirmation

Chris Wheatley reports for NationalWorld TV that Bukayo Saka has agreed a deal to become Arsenal’s highest-paid player, and William Saliba is very close to an extension as well.

Speaking in a video on the NationalWorld TV YouTube channel, Wheatley claimed it’s just a matter of time before Saka’s new contract with Arsenal is confirmed.

The winger will sign a deal to become Arsenal’s highest-paid player, with the contract all agreed upon.

There are just a few outstanding details to formalise, as reported by other outlets as well.

Saliba nearing extension amid injury recovery

In other positive news, Saliba is also reportedly very close to a contract extension.

Wheatley reports that the player is keen to stay and expected to sign a new long-term deal very soon.

The defender is currently on the treatment table recovering from injury, but a new contract isn’t far off.

Arsenal fans will probably want to hold off on celebrating the news until it’s confirmed, but signing up the duo for the long term would be a major coup for the club.

At the start of the season, the three key contract situations to address were those of Gabriel Martinelli, William Saliba, and Bukayo Saka.

Martinelli has already officially extended, Saka has verbally agreed to a new deal, and Saliba is reportedly close as well.

With any luck, Arsenal will soon be able to confirm that all three players will be staying with the club for the foreseeable future.

There are also rumours of a contract for Martin Odegaard that will tie him to the club until 2030.
