Since INEOS acquired OGC Nice, the club has strengthened considerably by recruiting players from England, and intends to continue in this line. They are reportedly planning to try their luck with 23-year-old winger Reiss Nelson.

INEOS’s investment pays off with English recruitment drive

OGC Nice have been investing heavily in new talent since INEOS acquired the club. The Côte d’Azur team managed to bring in players such as Kasper Schmeichel, Nicolas Pépé, Joe Bryan, and Ross Barkley.

The club, however, is not planning to stop there, and is reportedly considering adding another English player to their squad.

Reiss Nelson a top target for Nice

Reiss Nelson is out of contract and a French report seems to think he is unlikely to extend in London, which goes against everything the player has said about wanting to stay at Arsenal.

The 23-year-old winger scored the winning goal for Arsenal in their recent match against Bournemouth.

Nice wants to take advantage of this apparent ‘opportunity’ to recruit him for free, but they will have to compete with Brighton for his signature.

And, of course, Arsenal.
