Arsenal still have an interest in Moussa Diaby, and they’re in contact with the player’s representatives, according to a report.

Christian Falk reports for CaughtOffside that Arsenal are still interested in Moussa Diaby, and the player’s agents are in contact with the Gunners.

Bild had reported last month that Diaby looks like leaving Bayer Leverkusen in the summer, and he has been offered to Arsenal for a potential move in the upcoming window.

Back in January, Patrick Berger of German outlet SPORT1 claimed that Arsenal were very interested in Diaby after the collapse of their deal for Mykhaylo Mudryk.

The Gunners reportedly held initial talks with Leverkusen over the transfer, but the Bundesliga side didn’t want to sell him in January.

A summer transfer is a more likely option, and Diaby would cost €75m (£65.7m) plus bonuses.

The Daily Mail reported in January that Newcastle United had also made an enquiry over the potential signing.

Newcastle are long-term admirers of Diaby, but in the past, they’ve considered Leverkusen’s demands to be excessive.

The winger is under contract until 2025, so he’s expected to be an expensive acquisition.

Diaby has 11 goals and five assists this season, bringing him to 46 goals and 43 assists in 156 games for Bayer Leverkusen overall.

The 23-year-old is also a France international, and he can play on either wing.
