Folarin Balogun scored his 15th Ligue 1 goal of the season on Sunday to maintain his position as the division’s top scorer.

Playing for Stade de Reims against Troyes on Sunday, Folarin Balogun was looking to get back on the scoresheet after a couple of blanks following his FC Lorient hat-trick.

The Arsenal loanee hasn’t gone three full games without a goal all season, and he ensured that record continued with another goal at the weekend.

Racing in behind the defence in the 50th minute, Balogun held off a defender before finishing with his first touch on his left foot.

Reims ended up winning comfortably, 4-0, keeping them in the top half of the table.

Troyes fans will be sick of the sight of Balogun, after he also scored against them in the reverse fixture earlier in the campaign.

On a personal level, Balogun’s latest goal ensures he remains top of the top-scorers tally.

There are a number of players in the chasing pack, with Jonathan David, former Gunner Alexandre Lacazette, and Wissam Ben Yedder all on 14 goals, just one behind the Arsenal 21-year-old.

Paris Saint-Germain stars Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, and Lionel Messi are on 13, 12, and 10 league goals respectively.

Having also scored one goal in the Coupe de France, Balogun is up to 16 in all competitions. But following Reims’ cup elimination and with their lack of European football, his full focus will be on the league campaign for the remainder of the season.
