In addition to moves for Leandro Trossard and Jakub Kiwior, Arsenal are reportedly also looking at deals for a midfielder and Ivan Fresneda this month.

Arsenal are making moves in the transfer market, with Brighton winger Leandro Trossard and Spezia Calcio centre-back Jakub Kiwior both closing in on moves to the club this month.

But Fabrizio Romano reports that Arsenal aren’t done yet in the January transfer window.

Romano confirms that Arsenal like Ivan Fresneda of Real Valladolid, though this is an open race, with Newcastle United, Juventus, and Wolves interested in the 18-year-old right-back.

The journalist also mentions the possibility of a midfield signing, with Arsenal prioritising an attacking signing (Trossard) but keeping an eye on the market for any opportunities at right-back and in midfield for the remainder of the month.

El Desmarque report that Mikel Arteta has personally convinced Fresneda to choose a move to Arsenal, and the teenager will fly to London in the coming days.

According to the Spanish outlet, the only remaining question is whether Fresneda will join the Gunners immediately or return to Valladolid on loan until the end of the season.

The Athletic have already confirmed that Arsenal scouts have watched Fresneda and met with his representatives, though they suggest the Gunners are more urgently pursuing a midfielder.

Once again, they suggest a deal for Fresneda would likely involve an immediate loan back to Valladolid.

The Evening Standard reported earlier this week that Arsenal are considering a move for Fresneda, again confirming they’ve already spoken to his representatives over a potential transfer.

Just 18 years old, Fresneda has made 11 appearances for Real Valladolid in La Liga and the Copa del Rey this season.
