Amario Cozier-Duberry made a positive impression on the Arsenal fans despite a friendly defeat to Juventus on Saturday night.
There wasn’t too much for Arsenal fans to shout about after their friendly defeat to Juventus at the Emirates Stadium this weekend, as a couple of own goals condemned them to a loss despite dominating the chances.
Yet there was one major positive in Amario Cozier-Duberry’s performance. The 17-year-old came on and caused a lot of problems on the right side of the Juventus defence.

For those who weren’t aware of the youngster, let’s give you the lowdown.
What position does Cozier-Duberry play?
Though he played on the left wing to good effect on Saturday night, Cozier-Duberry is probably more of a right-winger, similar to Bukayo Saka.
He’s left-footed, somewhat on the smaller side but agile, a great dribbler, and a regular contributor to the goals and assists in the academy.
Cozier-Duberry has also played a more central midfield role in the past, but not as regularly.
How long is Cozier-Duberry’s contract?
Fortunately, Cozier-Duberry only just signed a professional contract with Arsenal over the summer, days after his 17th birthday – when he became eligible.
Professional deals are capped at three years, and you’d imagine the Gunners would have pushed for that maximum, especially considering they were so keen to sign the player up as soon as possible.
So whilst his contract length hasn’t been disclosed, it’s likely Cozier-Duberry has a deal until 2025.
Has Cozier-Duberry made his competitive first-team debut?
Assuming we aren’t counting the Dubai Super Cup, Cozier-Duberry is yet to play for the Arsenal first team. But Mikel Arteta did call him up to the Europa League squad that faced FC Zurich in September.
Who does Cozier-Duberry represent internationally?
Cozier-Duberry plays for England, and he made regular appearances for the u17s last season, before stepping up to the u18s this campaign.
The winger scored in his most recent England u18 appearance against Belgium to help England win the Costa Calida Supercup.
How has Cozier-Duberry performed this season?
Since stepping up from the Arsenal u18s in August, Cozier-Duberry has had a good impact for the Arsenal u21s.
He has four goals and four assists in 11 games between the Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy, with three of those goal contributions coming against senior opposition.
Given he’d only made one Premier League 2 start before this season, this is a step up for him, so to contribute so regularly has been an encouraging sign.
Perhaps his cameo against Juventus will mean further first-team opportunities on the horizon, with the FA Cup game against Oxford United now looking like a chance for him to feature.
