The BBC’s Garth Crooks included two Arsenal players in his most recent Team of the Week, with William Saliba and Granit Xhaka both making the side.

Crooks wrote that Saliba “is looking better with every game” and that “his composure in his first north London derby was nothing short of outstanding”.

As for Xhaka, Crooks added: “I find myself congratulating him for his conduct and professionalism.

“I was particularly taken by the way he corralled his team-mates after Arsenal’s first goal against their north London rivals, in an attempt to retain an element of composure in the red-hot atmosphere.”

Both players are deserving inclusions in the side, after Saliba’s fantastic defensive performance and Xhaka’s Man of the Match display capped off with a goal.

Arsenal have been involved in a lot of Teams of the Week this season so far.

They saw Gabriel Jesus, William Saliba, and Aaron Ramsdale feature in Teams of the Week for their opening game against Crystal Palace, before Jesus and Granit Xhaka made it in for their performances against Leicester City.

Saliba and Odegaard were included for the win over Bournemouth, and Odegaard was back again for the win over Fulham.

There were no entrants for the game against Manchester United, but five players featured in the Teams of the Week after Brentford, and now two more have made it in for the north London derby.
