Arsenal players featured heavily across the various Teams of the Week following a comfortable win over Brentford at the weekend.

Aaron Ramsdale, William Saliba, Granit Xhaka, Bukayo Saka, and Gabriel Jesus were all named in at least one Team of the Week between the BBC, the Premier League, and WhoScored after the latest round of fixtures.

Somewhat aided by the reduced number of fixtures this weekend, Arsenal also had plenty of deserving candidates for the Team of the Week after a dominant display away at Brentford.

Alan Shearer picked Saliba, Xhaka, and Jesus for his Premier League team. He wrote that Saliba “dominated Ivan Toney”, Xhaka “bossed the midfield from start to finish”, and Jesus “once again proved to be the game-changer for Arsenal”.

Shearer also chose Mikel Arteta as his manager of the week, writing that “Arsenal were great value for their victory as they reclaimed top spot”.

Garth Crooks also picked Saliba, Xhaka, and Jesus for the BBC, adding Ramsdale to the mix as well. Crooks wrote that Ramsdale complements the team Arteta is trying to create, and praised the goalkeeper’s one-v-one save against Brentford.

As for WhoScored, they selected Saliba and Jesus (again), but had assist-provider Saka as their third Arsenal entrant.

Arsenal saw Gabriel Jesus, William Saliba, and Aaron Ramsdale feature in Teams of the Week for their opening game against Crystal Palace, before Jesus and Granit Xhaka made it in for their performances against Leicester City.

Saliba and Odegaard made the team for the win over Bournemouth, and Odegaard was back again for the win over Fulham.

But after no entrants for their game against Manchester United, the Arsenal players were back with a bang this weekend for their performances against Brentford.
