After three rounds of at least two Arsenal players in the various Teams of the Week, the Gunners had to settle for one after their weekend win over Fulham. Both the BBC and WhoScored selected Martin Odegaard for their lineups.

Garth Crooks didn’t have a huge amount to say about his selection of Odegaard, only writing that “it was another fine display by the Arsenal captain”.

In fairness, Crooks had also selected and praised Odegaard in his previous Team of the Week, so perhaps he just didn’t have much more to add.

WhoScored gave Odegaard an 8.7/10 rating, based on their statistical data. That included five completed dribbles out of five, three tackles, two chances created, and his goal.

WhoScored also selected former Gunner Bernd Leno for his performance in goal for Fulham, showing how much Arsenal had to do to get the win on the day. Leno made six saves and three claims for his new side.

Arsenal saw Gabriel Jesus, William Saliba, and Aaron Ramsdale feature in Teams of the Week for their opening game against Crystal Palace, before Jesus and Granit Xhaka made it in for their performances against Leicester City.

Saliba and Odegaard made the team for the win over Bournemouth, and now Odegaard is back again for the win over Fulham.

Next up, Arsenal face Aston Villa on Wednesday at 19:30 BST.
