Goal in Spain report that though Villarreal don’t have a formal offer on the table for Yeremy Pino yet, they suspect it will arrive in the next few days.

The La Liga club are aware of interest from the Premier League, particularly from Arsenal, and they’d be willing to negotiate for €45m.

Arsenal have reportedly made contact with Pino’s representatives, though those talks clearly haven’t progressed to a formal bid yet.

There were some signs that Arsenal could be in the mix for Pino after Spanish outlets linked an unnamed English club with interest earlier this week.

Edu Gaspar followed ICM Stellar Sports Spain on Instagram earlier this month, the agency representing Pino. Then there’s the fact he’s currently in Valencia, according to his wife’s Instagram, less than an hour’s drive from Villarreal.

David Ornstein recently confirmed the club are still looking to bring in a winger if they can, though it would likely depend on finding a buyer for Nicolas Pepe.

Pino scored seven goals and assisted four for Villarreal last season, pushing into the Spain squad. He scored one and assisted one in his first four international appearances, despite spending just 178 minutes on the pitch.

The 19-year-old looks like a strong prospect, but we’ll see if Arsenal’s reported interest turns into anything more serious.
