Lucas Torreira is stalling on a decision on whether to join Galatasaray, despite everything being agreed between the clubs.

Ryan Taylor of the Express had reported on Tuesday that Lucas Torreira was flying out to Istanbul to join Galatasaray on a permanent transfer. However, Taylor now writes that after the plane was booked, Torreira stalled and wanted time to decide.

Fabrizio Romano confirms that Galatasaray are still waiting for the green light from Torreira. A full agreement is in place between the club and Arsenal, but not with the player.

The Evening Standard report that Galatasaray are ready to pay £5m upfront, with a further £2.5m of add-ons to secure the deal.

Di Marzio reported last week that Sampdoria’s dream move would be to bring back Torreira this summer. But while they delayed, Galatasaray submitted an acceptable offer to Arsenal.

Sampdoria were hoping to raise funds for a move with the sale of Mikkel Damsgaard to Brentford.

Torreira has a year left on his Arsenal deal, and despite being called back for pre-season with the Gunners, he left the U.S. tour early to travel to Italy and hasn’t played a game since.

It seems as if he’s set to move to Turkey, but the longer he delays, the greater the uncertainty around the move.
