Fiorentina are more than happy with Lucas Torreira and they’re holding talks to complete his move on a permanent transfer, according to a report.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Fiorentina are hoping to sign Lucas Torreira on a permanent deal, and talks are underway to reach an agreement with Arsenal.
Arsenal are open to Torreira’s departure, and there’s an existing €15m purchase option included in the midfielder’s loan.
Romano doesn’t specify whether or not Fiorentina are trying to negotiate a new price, but the fact they’re holding talks at all suggests they aren’t simply planning to activate the option and leave it at that.
In reports from last Wednesday and Thursday, La Nazione did claim that Fiorentina are aiming for a possible discount on a permanent transfer for Torreira.
La Nazione claim a decision will be made in the next month or so, and they admit it will be difficult for Arsenal to accept a lower price.
This rumour has been going around for a while, with TMW reporting the same thing back in November.

Torreira scored the winner in Fiorentina’s match at the weekend, he’s a regular starter, and he’s popular with the supporters.
It’s not hard to see why they want to keep him, but those are the same reasons Arsenal will be demanding full price.
The fact is, Arsenal can probably find a buyer at €15m, whether it’s Fiorentina or not.
