Arsenal have apparently lined up a friendly against Reading for their return to the UK after a trip to Dubai.

The club are said to be concerned about going almost three weeks between matches, although given how dead half the team is, perhaps that’s not such a bac thing.

It was reported at the time the camp was announced that a friendly would also be played during this winter break, of sorts, using those players who are not away on international duty.

Likely opponents, Reading, are also out of the FA Cup so have a gap in their schedule they’d like to plug as well.

Arsenal and Reading recently came together to agree a loan deal for young goalkeeper, Karl Hein for the second half of the season.

I wonder if him starting in the friendly was part of the agreement…

Neither the fixture nor the opponents have been officially confirmed at the time of writing.
