Arsenal admire Dejan Kulusevski, but they’d probably need to sell Nicolas Pepe before making a move for the Juventus man.

The Athletic report that Dejan Kulusevski is someone Arsenal admire, but the problem with a potential deal is that the Gunners have already filled that role in the squad.
Kulusevski is a left-footed winger who usually operates from the right-hand side, like Bukayo Saka, or Nicolas Pepe.
Arsenal already have enough trouble getting Pepe minutes, they aren’t going to improve that situation by adding a third player in the same position.
The Athletic write that if Pepe were to move on, then Arsenal’s requirements in that position could change. But for now, that seemingly puts a stopper on a deal for Kulusevski.
Gianluca Di Marzio recently reported that Arsenal had made initial enquiries into the potential signing of Kulusevski.
The site claimed Arsenal had set their sights on the 21-year-old, as they looked for attacking reinforcements in the January market.
Di Marzio then doubled down on the claim, adding that Arsenal have made contact with the player’s agents, and Juventus have set a valuation of €35m.

Speaking on Swedish podcast Lundh in 2019, Kulusevski was asked for his favourite team.
“My favourite team is Arsenal, because I like everything about the club, the city, the players and the way they play football,” the player answered.
