Gabriel Martinelli was handed a second start in a row after quite some time and his hamstring had a bit of an issue with that.

The 20-year-old was replaced by Eddie Nketiah after 71 minutes of the game against Everton.

Asked if after the game Martinelli was ok, Arteta said, “I don’t know.

“We have to assess him, but he felt something in his hamstring, I’m not very positive about it.”

Now, however, Arsenal write, “Gabi was substituted during the match against Everton on Monday. He has been fully assessed since and is fit and available for selection for Saturday’s match.”

Arsenal do have doubts hanging over Bernd Leno, who will undergo an assessment before the game on his groin injury.

Similarly, Emile Smith Rowe, who picked up his groin injury against Manchester United, will also undergo an assessment.

Finally, Sead Kolasinac, who picked up a nasty injury on international duty, is back running outside and is aiming to be back in full training next month.
