With Arsenal’s game against Wolves postponed due to covid and injuries in the away team’s squad, Arsenal now have three games that they need to reschedule.

Arsenal were due to play Wolves less than 48 hours after they played Norwich on Boxing Day.

With Manchester City the team up after that game, Mikel Arteta was not best pleased at the difference in rest time afforded to different teams.

Now, he has more time to prep for the Etihad to hopefully avoid another pasting.

While Arsenal have managed their own covid situation somewhat better than most (for now), the Gunners still have three games that need to be slotted in somewhere, but only one because of the pandemic.

First, of course, is the game against Wolves at the Emirates.

Then, Arsenal will need to find a new date for their away fixture against Chelsea due to their participation in the Club Word Cup.

There is no suggested date for that match with the Club World Cup due to take place between 3 and 12 February, 2022 in the United Arab Emirates.

Finally, they also need to find a date for their home game against Liverpool which clashes with the Carabao Cup final.

With both teams playing each other in the semi-final, one of them is guaranteed to be involved at Wembley on Sunday, 27 February, 2022. Arsenal were due to welcome Liverpool on 26 February.
