Both Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe made WhoScored’s Team of the Round for the latest set of UEFA World Cup qualifiers this week.

WhoScored posted their World Cup 2022 UEFA Qualifying Team of the Round on Wednesday, and Arsenal saw two of their three England players make the side.

Bukayo Saka made an appearance with a 9.5 rating, after he scored one, completed four dribbles, created four chances, and was involved in another goal that went down as an own goal.

Emile Smith Rowe also featured in the team with a 9.8 rating. He scored one and assisted one, completing 97% of his passes and creating two chances.

Unfortunately for Aaron Ramsdale, it was pretty difficult for him to make it into the side, as San Marino were comprehensively beaten by England.

Goalkeepers that only face one shot all game and only make 12 touches throughout the 90 minutes don’t really have much of a chance to show what they can do.

We hope that Ramsdale will get his chance to shine further down the line. This time, it’s great to see Saka and Smith Rowe’s performances recognised.

The duo have been a key part of Arsenal’s recent success, and there are constant renditions of their song ringing around whichever stadium the team are visiting.

The England fans even picked up the song and started singing it themselves during the San Marino game.

If we can keep that good feeling around the duo going for as long as possible, it’s sure to be a positive thing for both club and country. They aren’t making it difficult to be optimistic right now.
