Speaking to El Larguero at the weekend, Cadena SER reporter Mario Torrejon told the show he thinks Martin Odegaard is going to leave Real Madrid this summer, adding “I’ve seen him looking very disconnected”.

Odegaard is getting involved with Real Madrid in pre-season, and he even set up their goal in the 2-1 defeat to Rangers on Sunday. But the suggestion remains that he’s still a bit of an outcast in the group, despite being actively recalled by his club.

Not too long ago, Odegaard confirmed to the media that Real Madrid wanted him back, that they’d told him he’d feature in pre-season. He posted a farewell to the Arsenal fans and that looked to be it.

Yet various reports have continued to suggest that Real would listen to significant offers, and that Arsenal remain very interested in the signing if the opportunity arises. AS have also suggested Odegaard has been “left thinking” about his next step.

If the situation remains uncertain over the coming month, Arsenal may well look to take advantage and lure the 22-year-old back to North London. As things stand, he has two years left on his contract in Madrid.
