Speaking on Onda Cero’s radio show at the weekend, Spanish reporter Carlos Bustillo claimed that Arsenal are once again interested in signing Martin Odegaard.

Fellow Spanish outlet AS reported in their print edition on Monday that Odegaard will remain at Real Madrid. But they seemed less certain in their coverage of the report on their website, where they wrote that the midfielder must show he has a place in the team.

In another article, they added that Arsenal are insisting on keeping the player, and Odegaard has been “left thinking” about his next step. There’s little certainty over what exactly is going to happen next.

For the time being, it appears that Real Madrid are keen to keep Odegaard around and he’s hoping to get a chance to impress for them. But it seems the door is still open for that to change before the deadline.

The Athletic recently reported that Real would listen to significant offers and Arsenal are still keen to bring him back – if that’s at all possible. It’s still not really clear whether it will be.
