Any potential Arsenal move for Eduardo Camavinga appears to be completely dead with David Ornstein giving the deal ‘no chance’.

In the last couple of months, Arsenal have been linked with a move for teenage Rennes star Eduardo Camavinga, but it doesn’t look like the rumours are going anywhere now.

Writing in the replies to an article on The Athletic, David Ornstein responded to a question about the Camavinga-to-Arsenal rumours by saying: “As far as I know there’s no chance”.

This ties in with Football.London’s recent report, when they quickly came out to shoot down claims that Camavinga was Arsenal’s priority signing. Sources close to the player dismissed the reports as ‘absolute rubbish’.

When we covered the links to Camavinga last month, they all came with the condition that Arsenal would need to secure European football first.

That plan is all but out the window, with only the slim hope of UEFA Europa Conference League football remaining. Even if Arsenal get it, it’s not the kind of prestigious European competition that they’d need to sway one of the continent’s top young talents.

Sadly, it seems we can completely write off the Camavinga transfer at this stage.
